GUCCI PRESENTS ICONIC "BAMBOO" SUNGLASSES IN GOLD

For Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Gucci is pleased to present an exclusive gold version of the iconic Bamboo sunglasses collection.

The new edition in gold is an evolution of the classic Bamboo sunglasses that made their debut in Spring/Summer 2013 and of the Black Bamboo sunglasses launching in Autumn 2013 with a dedicated campaign featuring James Franco. All these styles are destined to become iconic Gucci eyewear pieces thanks to the use of natural bamboo cane.

Bamboo is one of Gucci’s most distinctive signature motifs and a material that has been historically used by its Florentine artisans since 1947 on a variety of products from handbags, ready to wear, jewelry and today, eyewear.In a specially dedicated video artisans demonstrate the expert skills involved in the design and creation of eyewear featuring natural bamboo cane.

Both the frame and the lenses of these sophisticated sunglasses are gold–plated: the utmost expression of preciousness and exclusivity. The bamboo detail on the front along with the Gucci laser signature on the lenses add a subtle distinctive note to this style.

The gold edition of the Bamboo sunglasses come with an elegant chocolate-brown leather hard case bearing the gold Gucci logo, highlighting the exclusivity and sophistication of this model.

These sunglasses, offered in 2 sizes to fit women and men, will be available at Gucci boutiques and selected high-end opticians worldwide from October 2013.
